URGENT: Water Crisis in Uganda.

Uganda is facing a severe water crisis, which contributes to most common, yet preventable deaths among children under the age of 5. We are partnering with All For One Austria to support water well infrastructure to provide access to clean drinking water for local communities.

Our focus will be in Kampala, where access to clean drinking water remains a major challenge and young children often have to walk long distances to fetch water from unsafe sources like swamps or rivers. This not only takes up a significant amount of time that could be spent on other productive activities, like working and going to school, but also puts entire communities at risk of waterborne diseases.

Clean water is a fundamental human right. With proper initiatives like this, access in urban and rural areas is possible. The wells will provide clean, safe water for entire communities, drastically improving their quality of life. With access to clean water, fewer people suffer from illnesses such as cholera and dysentery, which are still prevalent in rural Uganda.

Uganda has many areas where infrastructure and access to essential services like healthcare, education, and clean water are severely lacking. Poverty is widespread, especially in the northern and eastern regions. This initiative hopes to support access to one of the most important basic human rights, water, for the long-term health, dignity, and future of these communities.
