Hygiene Project For Uganda

Two weekends ago I got off of the phone with Mehmet, one of the members volunteering in Uganda with AFO. He told me that he had just came back from a day of bringing feminine products to young girls - because majority of them use leaves during their menstrual cycle which is not only inconvenient, but unhygienic. As a woman, this broke my heart…

So naturally, we are going to help. We are excited to fundraise for AFO - All for One Austria, a volunteer aid organization based in Salzburg, Austria. Originally founded by a group of housewives coming together to address various societal needs (go women), AFO aims to make positive changes in their community and contribute to humanitarian aid projects.

Since its inception, AFO has been actively engaged in humanitarian aid and social development efforts, spearheading numerous projects across 21 countries and three continents. We are going to be helping villages in Uganda by providing hygiene kits.

Read more about AFO here.

One hygiene kit includes: a toothbrush and paste, pads, soap, sponge, nail cutter, 2 rolls of toilet paper, a jerrican 20L, a big basket for washing (clothes, dishes, kids).

Which costs 20 Euros ($21.62) per kit.

Our goal is to raise 100 hygiene kits: $2,162 (with an extra $200 to cover all taxes, transaction fees and transfer fees) in the next few months.

We are currently raising ~$200 from reoccurring monthly club donations.

Your recurring donations will continue to support missions such as this one. Even $5 can significantly impact children across the globe.

If you or someone you know is interested in contributing to our monthly club, please send your chosen monthly donation amount via Venmo and include “monthly donation” in the transaction description (we will send future requests). For non-Venmo users, Donorbox is our international option.

We also welcome one-time donations with much gratitude.
