Supporting LA Families Post Fire Crisis

Culver Helping Hands blossomed as a labor of love in January 2025, founded by Kianna Koprowski alongside her incredible community and friends in response to the L.A. wildfires. Kianna grew up in Culver City and has always had a passion for helping those in need, inspired by the strong sense of community and generosity she witnessed from an early age.

Her family owns a long time loved diner in Culver City called S&W Country Diner. Growing up surrounded by that close-knit support, she felt their impact firsthand. When the fires began, what started as a simple effort to collect donations for affected families at the diner quickly grew into a powerful community-driven movement.

So many people showed up to help and donate, which has seemed to be a common theme throughout all of Los Angeles. The people in this city have continued to show up for one another, and that was the main priority for starting Culver Helping Hands.

So far, Culver Helping Hands has raised $2,660, using the funds to purchase essential items for those in urgent need of immediate resources. They have used the majority of funds, around $2,100, to buy and donate items such as toiletries, canned food, non-perishables, school supplies, feminine hygiene products, and winter gloves for firefighters.

Kianna has a passion for photography, all things artistic, and works at a small local business that carries crystals and all things for the healing spirituality of the heart. Her empathy for humankind and wanting to help has led to this path, and she hopes Culver Helping Hands will continue to grow and help those in need in any way it can.
